Fort Loudoun Dock Builders is a locally owned marine contractor based in Lenoir City, Tennessee. For 15 years, we've built, repaired, and moved docks on Fort Loudoun Lake and the surrounding East Tennessee lakes. We handle TVA permits, barge installation, and every part of dock construction — one crew, one phone call, start to finish.
Our Story
We started Fort Loudoun Dock Builders because too many lakefront homeowners were getting burned. Dock builders who didn't understand TVA regulations, didn't show up when they said they would, didn't stand behind their work after the check cleared. We've been on Fort Loudoun Lake for 15 years, and we got into this business to do it differently.
Our founder grew up on the lake and built his first dock for a neighbor before he had a contractor's license. That dock is still standing. The philosophy was simple then and it's the same now: build it for the lake you're on, handle the paperwork, and don't leave until it's right. We've grown from a small dock crew to a full-service marine contractor, but the approach hasn't changed. We just have a barge now.

Every dock on Fort Loudoun Lake needs a TVA Section 26a permit. We handle the application, drawings, and all communication with TVA. You sign, we do the rest.

We tell you how long permitting takes, when construction starts, and when the dock goes in the water. If something changes, we call you — not the other way around.

Where We Work
Lenoir City is home base. Fort Loudoun Lake is primary territory — we know every cove, shoreline type, and dock community on the lake. We also serve Tellico Lake, Norris Lake, and Watts Bar Lake, bringing the same local knowledge and TVA permitting expertise to each.
